Motorist Advisory: Traffic Delays Expected During Fallen Soldier’s Procession

Deputies are cautioning motorists that a procession for a fallen Naples soldier is expected to cause minor traffic delays in Collier County on Thursday morning

Several intersections will be shut down briefly as the procession of the hearse carrying the body of Staff Sgt. Marc Scialdo and family cars makes its way from Naples to Bonita Springs starting around 10 a.m.

The procession will begin on Airport-Pulling Road North from the city airport, then left on Golden Gate Parkway then right on U.S. 41 North to Bonita Springs. Intersections will be shut down for about two minutes as the procession makes its way along the route.

Scialdo, 31, was one of five soldiers killed last week in Afghanistan.
