CCSO, Community Bring Holiday Cheer To Local Family

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office and its community partners came together to help an East Naples family have a Merry Christmas.

The CCSO approached John Stebbins, a single father of 15-year-old twin boys with cerebral palsy, to see what the community could do to assist them this holiday season.

“His exact response to me was ‘We need food’,” recounted CCSO Crime Prevention Specialist Connie Ledbetter.

Through the diligence of East Naples deputies and the generous contributions of Walmart, 6650 Collier Boulevard; and Lowe’s, 12730 Tamiami Trail E., Stebbins’ sons Chris and John-John were greeted with a Christmas miracle Monday morning.

Deputies, Walmart Manager Bob Galloway, and Lowe’s staff worked together to deliver groceries, gifts and set up a vegetable garden on Stebbins’ property.

The garden supplies were donated by Lowe’s and Walmart provided the gifts and groceries. The Bayshore/Gateway Triangle Community Redevelopment Agency also contributed a $200 Publix gift card for the family to use after the holidays.

To top it all off, Santa and Mrs. Claus were also there to greet Chris and John-John and place the gifts under their Christmas tree.
