Enhanced Reward Offered In Collier County Home Invasions

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers announced today a $7,500 enhanced reward for information leading to arrests in connection with five home invasions in Collier County since February.

Crime Stoppers has established an enhanced reward fund. At the request of residents from some of the affected communities in Collier County, a separate reward fund was opened this week by Crime Stoppers for anyone who wishes to contribute to the reward.

As of Thursday, the current reward amount is $7,500, with $6,500 coming from anonymous donors and $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.

“Of course we always hope that anyone with information will come forward because it’s the right thing to do, but at the end of the day money talks, and the increased reward may encourage someone to do just that,” said Crime Stoppers Coordinator Trish Routte.

Crime Stoppers expects the reward fund to grow. Updates will be provided as that happens.

A task force made up of members of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Naples Police Department, Marco Island Police Department, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and FBI is working day and night, sharing intelligence information and resources in an effort to solve these crimes and arrest those responsible.

Anyone with information on the Collier County home invasion robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers 24 hours a day at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $7,500 at this point.  Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.
