Sheriff
Kevin Rambosk swore in newly appointed Collier County Sheriff’s Office
employees at a ceremony Tuesday, March 10.
Sheriff
Rambosk administered the oath of office to 10 new members at a ceremony at the
Professional Development Center, 615 Third Ave. S., Naples.
In front of
their families, friends and new colleagues, these men and women affirmed to
carry out their duties as deputy sheriffs. They will serve in a variety of
positions including crime scene, corrections, communications, and information
technology.
Darlene Casey was appointed to systems analyst in the information technology department. Casey worked for a church in
North Naples before coming to CCSO. She was born and raised in Long Island,
N.Y., and has been a Collier County resident for several years. She graduated
from Hodges University, where she earned a master’s degree in business administration.
Judy Coldwell was appointed to jail technician. She previously worked in the jail commissary. She was born and raised in Michigan and has resided in Collier County for more than 25 years. She attended Michigan State University, where she earned a bachelor’s of science degree in motivational speaking and management.

Helen Diaz was appointed to dispatcher. She was born
in Miami and has resided in Collier County for more than 10 years. She attends
Florida Southwestern University, where she is majoring in pre-med and education.
Molly Dixon was appointed to crime scene
investigator. She recently moved to Collier County from Massachusetts. She
comes to CCSO from working at U.S. Security Associates. Her law enforcement
experience includes an internship with the West Haven Police Department in Connecticut.
She is a graduate of Farleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, where she
studied criminal justice.
Robert Goodman is in training to become a
Corrections deputy. He comes to CCSO from working at Future Aviation Inc. The
Naples native graduated from Gulf Coast High School. He served in the Marine
Corps. as an armorer.
Robert Halman was appointed to community service
deputy. He previously worked at the University of Florida Extension. He was born
and raised in Georgia and has been in Collier County for nearly a decade. He is a graduate of both Clemson University
and the University of Georgia. He graduated the auxiliary deputy academy in
Georgia in 1948 and was a firefighter/EMT in Maryland.
Pierre Richard Jean was appointed to Corrections officer.
He comes to CCSO from the Glades County Sheriff’s Office. He was born and
raised in Montreal and has resided in Collier County for six years. He served four years in the Army and is a graduate
of Hopkinsville Community College, where he studied social and behavioral health.
Ashley Miller
was appointed
to fiscal clerk. She previously worked at JP Morgan Chase. She was born and
raised in Collier County and attends Florida Gulf Coast University, where she
is studying accounting.
Gabriel Smith was appointed to reserve deputy. He
works at the Lee/Hendry County Habitat for Humanity. The New York native is a graduate
of Mesa and Glendale Community College, where he studied liberal arts.
Jermyn Torres was appointed to systems analyst. He
moved to Collier County from his native Venezuela. He graduated with a computer
science degree from the University Institute of Technology in Venezuela.
