The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man
whose body was found in a Golden Gate Estates canal Friday.
Detectives said the body of Zion Agustin Lopez, 20, of East
Naples, was found in a canal near 1950 Blue Sage Drive around 5:30 p.m.
The Collier County
Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy. A cause and manner of death have not been
established.
An investigation continues.

Collier County Sheriff's Office deputies are seeking the
public's help in identifying a man whose body was retrieved from a canal in
Golden Gate Estates on Friday.
The body was found shortly after 5:30 p.m. in a canal near 1950 Blue Sage Drive. It appears to have been in the water for less than 48 hours. Deputies say the man was Hispanic, had black hair and brown eyes, was between 5 feet, 8 inches and 6 feet tall, and weighed between 170 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a stud-style earring in his left ear. He also was wearing a black and white "Nightmare Before Christmas" nylon wristband.
