SUMMARY: The Collier County Sheriff’s Office will host its third annual free Health and Safety Fair on Saturday, June 27, in Golden Gate Estates.
New this year is a bike safety rodeo. Children ages 5-12 will learn how to properly use their bicycle equipment and test their skills on a road test. Families are invited to join in for a bike ride following the rodeo. Participants must wear helmets and bring their own bicycles.
CCSO has partnered with several local businesses and organizations to provide resources for families struggling due to economic hardship. Some of these resources will include a blood drive, bike maintenance, texting while driving simulator, dental services, fire safety information, tennis lessons for families, literacy materials, tail light installations and much more.
CCSO will also feature its rock climbing wall, bounce house, D.A.R.E. car and free child identification fingerprinting. The SWAT and K9 units will conduct demos during the event.
Free food and snow cones will be provided.
