UPDATE:
Detectives arrested two teenagers Thursday night in connection with the July 24
armed robbery at Rose’s Food Mart, 1808 Santa Barbara Blvd. in Golden Gate.
Gerardo Hernandez, 17, 2672 Tropicana Blvd., Golden Gate, and Franke
Perry, also 17, whose address is listed as Tropicana Boulevard on arrest
reports, are facing one count each of armed robbery with a firearm and grand
theft.
Hernandez and Perry were positively identified by witnesses and were
captured on store surveillance video committing the robbery, according to
arrest reports.
While conducting a search of Hernandez’s residence, detectives found a
shotgun matching the shotgun in the surveillance video of the robbery. The
search also turned up shotgun rounds that matched the shotgun rounds discovered
on the scene of the robbery, reports said.
When detectives made contact with Perry at his residence, he was wearing the same blue hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants worn by the suspect in the surveillance video matching his description, reports said.

CCSO Releases Video Of Armed Robbery In Golden Gate Collier County Sheriff's Office

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance video Monday
of two suspects in an armed robbery of a convenience store in Golden Gate over
the weekend.

Detectives said the suspects walked into Rose’s Food Mart, 1808 Santa
Barbara Blvd., around 10:15 p.m. Friday, just as employees were closing the
store for the night.
The suspects demanded cash. One of the suspects was armed with a gun.
Once the suspects received cash, they ran out of the store.
No injuries were reported.
Detectives said one of the suspects is described as a black man about
5 feet 9 inches.
He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a red
bandanna on his face.
Detectives said the other suspect is described as a Hispanic man about
5 feet 6 inches tall. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt and a facial covering.
He may have acne-type scars on his face.
An investigation continues.
