Deputies say a man broke into a woman’s car, stole a bag from inside and hit her when confronted at a North Naples parking lot.The woman noticed William B. Sharpe, 39, of 9836 Luna Circle Apt. #102, walking away from her car at the Target store, 2324 Pine Ridge Road, on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007 and learned that a bag containing hair care products was missing.
She followed Sharpe to his van, saw the pink bag and requested that he give it back to her. Sharpe became aggressive and punched the woman in the face before driving away, reports say.
She managed to write down Sharpe’s tag number and deputies located him at his home.
Sharpe was charged with unarmed burglary of a car, battery and petty theft.
