Deputies: Man Used Stolen ID To Cash Counterfeit Check

A man was arrested Monday after deputies say he used a stolen ID to try to cash a counterfeit check for more than $2,000 at a North Naples bank.

Mark Beloch, 31, 1514 Florida Ave., East Naples was charged with uttering a forged instrument, grand theft and fraudulent use of personal identification information.

Reports say Beloch tried to cash a for $2,276.88 check from Intech Printing and Direct Mail at the TIB bank at 6435 Naples Blvd. around 3:50 p.m. The bank had received reports from Intech about fraudulent checks from the business being passed at several TIB banks in Southwest Florida.

Reports say the check that Beloch tried to cash was in the name of Leslie S. Walker. He also presented the teller with a Florida ID in the name Leslie Walker, however, he did not resemble the photo on the ID.

Bank officials became suspicious and alerted CCSO.
