Sandra Lasoya, 632 98th Ave. N., called deputies Jan. 24 after she saw a hand reach through a window in her 15-year-old daughter’s bedroom. She yelled at the person but he removed his hand and ran away. She told deputies it sounded like several people were with him.
When deputies arrived they saw that a pane of glass had been removed from the window and a screen had been cut. Lasoya told deputies she suspected three of her daughter’s friends: Stephen Giannasoli, Nicholas Bishop and Matthew Couch.
Deputies interviewed all three, along with a fourth man who was developed as a suspect, Dustin “Sleepy” Kiste. Based on their findings, the following arrests were made Tuesday:
Giannasoli, 18, of 836 106th Ave. N.; Bishop, 18, 790 98th Ave. N.; Couch, 19, of 729 101st Ave. N.; and Kiste, 24, 3331 7th Ave. S.W., were charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling.
Based on information deputies gathered during the investigation, Couch was also charged with criminal mischief and petty theft. Deputies say he set afire couch that had been placed by the road for trash pick-up on 98th Avenue and scratched the trunk of a car with a swastika.
