Woman Charged In Car Break-Ins At Water Park

A woman was arrested Thursday in connection with two car break-ins at North Naples Regional Park last month.

Tracey Szabad, 39, was charged with fraudulent use of personal ID.

Reports say Szabad, who was wearing a wig, attempted to make a deposit into the bank account of one of the victims about 1:30 p.m. in the drive-thru teller line at Regions bank, 5909 Pine Ridge Road.
The teller became suspicious and alerted CCSO. Szabad drove away before authorities arrived.
Reports say deputies located Szabad at a gas station in the Vineyards in North Naples. She got out of the car and threw a package into the back of a blue Ford truck. She tried to run away but was apprehended by deputies.

Two women reported that their purses, along with their driver’s licenses, credit cards and bank cards, had been stolen from their vehicles at the park on Livingston Road on Dec. 27.

On Dec. 28, one of the victim’s credit cards was used at the Shell station at 5606 Tavilla Circle. Szabad was identified as being one of the people captured in surveillance video taken from the Shell station, reports said.
