Deputies arrested a cleaning service employee Tuesday who they say stole a gold bracelet from a customer while cleaning her condo and then pawned it for cash.Nicholas J. Chaffin, 29, 3987 Recreation Lane, East Naples, was charged with grand theft, dealing in stolen property and defrauding a pawbroker.
Reports say Chaffin was working a job cleaning the sliding glass doors of a condominium on Eagle Creek Drive on Jan. 23.
When he was finished cleaning the doors, investigators say he went into a bedroom and took a gold bracelet valued at $1,300 that was on top of a dresser.
On Jan. 24, Chaffin took the bracelet to Capital Pawn Superstore, 1933 Davis Blvd., East Naples, where he sold it for cash.
