An east coast man was arrested Friday on charges that he traveled to Naples to have sex with someone he believed to be an 11-year-old girl who he met over the Internet.
But in reality the girl was an undercover Collier County Sheriff's Office investigator.
Alexander Quinones, 22, of Miami was charged with three counts of online solicitation of a minor, one count of traveling to meet a minor and one count of seducing, soliciting or luring a child using a computer or online service.
Quinones is charged with chatting with a Collier County girl named "Kayla" who he thought was 11 years old and then arranging to meet her for sex. The chats took place online and through cell phone text messages starting in December 2007.
A meeting was arranged for Friday at an East Naples shopping plaza.
When Quinones arrived for that meeting, he found out that he had been chatting with an undercover Collier sheriff's investigator.
An investigation continues.
