Deputies: Woman Stabbed Man During Argument

A woman was arrested Monday after deputies say she stabbed a man in the back with a kitchen knife during an argument.

Delia Genoveva Anzualda, 19, 342 S. 8th St., Immokalee, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Lauro Canales, 55, told deputies that he got into an argument with Anzualda shortly before 1 p.m. in her living room over an incident involving his cousin. During the argument Anzualda came up behind him and stabbed him in the back.

A woman who was inside the trailer during the argument told deputies that after Anzualda stabbed Canales she threw the knife into the kitchen sink.

Deputies found a knife with a black handle and blood on the tip in the kitchen sink.
