Cardboard Trail Leads Deputy To 3 Arrests

Three east coast men were arrested Tuesday on charges they stole bales of cardboard from a North Naples big box store.

Roberto Hernandez Perez, 39, Francisco Trimino Cardenas, 43, and Fidel A. Marrero, 45, all of Miami, were each charged with grand theft.

Reports say a deputy was on routine patrol in the back of Super Wal-Mart, 5420 Juliet Blvd., around 6:30 p.m. when he saw a white box truck parked near several bales of cardboard.

Perez, Cardenas and Marrero were standing inside the truck loading a bale of cardboard.

Perez ,Cardenas and Marrero, who are not Wal-Mart employees, told the deputy that they did not have permission to take the cardboard. They said they planned to take the cardboard back to Miami to recycle for money.
