Fake Traveler's Checks Passed at Lowe's

Deputies are looking for three people who passed counterfeit $500 traveler’s checks at the Lowe’s home improvement store in North Naples.

Reports say the trio went through the 6415 Naples Blvd. store collecting items and made their purchases at a register in the garden center using counterfeit American Express traveler’s checks. Once they left they went to other Lowe’s stores in Southwest Florida and attempted to return the merchandise for cash.

They were driving a two-door black or dark blue Dodge Dakota truck with a partial Florida license plate of H74.

The suspects are described as an Hispanic male, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build, short brown hair and light facial hair; a white male, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches with a medium build and short blond hair; and a white female with a medium build and long brown hair that was tied in a pony tail.
