Woman Charged With Stealing Co-Worker’s Credit Cards

A woman was arrested Sunday after deputies say she stole a co-worker’s credit cards and then purchased thousands of dollars worth of clothing and household items.

Edna D. Smallwood, 67, 363 Ninth Ave. S., Naples, was charge with fraud/illegal use of credit cards and petty theft.

Reports say Smallwood stole credit cards and a driver’s license belonging to a co-worker, Elizabeth Rogers, 59, while they worked at Talbot’s, a women’s clothing store at Waterside Shops.

Smallwood used Rogers’ credit cards to purchase two shopping carts full of comforters, sheets, luggage racks, pillows and other items totaling $1,313.88 from Bed Bath & Beyond, 5351 Airport-Pulling Road, North Naples, reports said.

She also used the stolen credit cards to purchase $851.24 worth of clothing from Taffetta’s,4260 Gulf Shore Blvd. N., and items totaling $579.50 from Saks Fifth Avenue at Waterside Shops, reports said.
