A Golden Gate Estates man has been arrested in connection with a construction site stabbing that ended in death at the Collier County Government Complex on Tuesday.

Gonzalo Venegas, 43, 4475 54th Ave. N.E., was charged with manslaughter. Collier Sheriff’s investigators said he stabbed Oscar Quintero, 41, 14875 Mystic Lake Circle #6206, North Naples, during an argument.

Both men worked on the Courthouse Annex project and had been arguing off and on for the last 1½ days, according to investigators. On Tuesday morning the arguing began again. Reports say Quintero hit Venegas and then Venegas stabbed him shortly before 10:30 a.m.

Quintero was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
