Aggravated Assault Arrest

A man was arrested Monday after deputies say he threatened his ex-girlfriend’s mother with a knife during a road-rage incident in North Naples.

Brennan Michael Morrison, 26, whose street address in Estero was not listed in an arrest report, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated stalking.

Arrest reports gave this account:

Morrison showed up at Beall’s, 3701 U.S. 41 E., East Naples, around 2:15 p.m. Monday to speak to employee Pamela Wedding, 52. Wedding refused and asked Morrison to leave.

Morrison threatened to kidnap Wedding’s daughter, whom he used to date, if Wedding didn’t speak to him.

Wedding again asked him to leave and he did.

Wedding left work around 4:30 p.m. and Morrison followed her in a green Jeep Wrangler.
While Wedding was stopped at a red light at Goodlette-Frank Road North and Granada Boulevard, Morrison got out of his car and walked up to Wedding’s vehicle and started tapping on the driver-side window with a knife.

Fearing for her safety, Wedding ran the red light and drove home.

Morrison called her on her cell phone and told her to look out her window, where he was in front of her house. Deputies soon arrived and arrested him.
