A man who was talking on his cell phone while he walked in Immokalee on Sunday had his conversation cut off after a robber snatched his phone, deputies say.Deputies arrested Jairo Jimenez-Garcia, 20, 210 S. 9th St., Immokalee, and charged him with robbery by sudden snatching.
Reports say Nasario Ayuso Lopez, 19, told deputies he was talking on his cell phone as he walked west along Colorado Avenue around 2:15 a.m. when Jimenez-Garcia ran up and grabbed the phone away from him.
Jimenez-Garcia ran north on South Ninth Street with Lopez chasing behind him.
Deputies located Jimenez-Garcia a short time later hiding behind a house in the 200 block of South 9th Street.
