Deputies Seek Public's Help

Deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who they say snatched tips from a waitress early Friday.

Reports say Frances Diane Lanfranchi, 67, was at the reception counter at the IHOP restaurant at 1921 Davis Blvd. shortly after 6 a.m. when a woman approached and asked for change for $1. Lanfranchi removed her tips from her pocket and placed the folded bills on the counter and covered them with her forearm while she looked through her change.

The suspect then grabbed the bills from beneath Lanfranchi’s arm and ran out of the restaurant. She entered a newer model white Ford F-250 cargo van that headed west on Davis Boulevard and turned north on U.S. 41.

The suspect is described as being in her early 30s, heavy set, with streaked brown hair. She was wearing a white shirt and black shorts.
