Motorists in Collier County are buckling up.
CCSO deputies wrote fewer tickets for safety belt violations during this year’s Click It or Ticket annual Memorial Day campaign than in 2007.
Deputies wrote 1,931 seat belt tickets and 82 child restraint tickets during the two-week period from May 19 to June 1.
During the 2007 Memorial Day campaign, deputies wrote 2,605 seat belt tickets and 126 child restraint tickets.
Even though Click It Or Ticket is over the Sheriff’s Office will continue to aggressively enforce the seat belt and child restraint laws. It’s the most important thing you can do to protect yourself and your family from a fatal crash.
