A 42-year-old woman was arrested Sunday after deputies say she stole a handgun and other items from a man whose house she was staying at while he was away on a business trip.Brenda Sue Boyer, 2784 Catherine St., East Naples, was charged with grand theft and grand theft of a firearm.
Arrest reports say Joseph Harrington told deputies that Boyer was staying at his house on Catalina Street in East Naples while he was away on business from May 19 to May 27.
When Harrington returned his Ruger .22 caliber handgun was missing, along with tools, jewelry and golf clubs were missing, reports said. The items had a combined estimated value of around $7,000, reports said.
Deputies located Boyer on Sunday and arrested her, reports said.
