UPDATE: Investigators say two Brinks employees were inside the back end of their truck around 9:30 a.m. outside the Wachovia Bank when two armed men came into the truck and disarmed one of the Brinks employees. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and drove away in a green Ford Expedition that was being driven by a third suspect.
As the Expedition was pulling out of the parking lot the Brinks worker who was still armed fired a shot through the vehicle’s windshield.
The Expedition, which has a Hialeah license plate, was later found behind Prime Outlets.
The three suspects are still at large.
No bank employees were injured, nor were either of the Brinks workers. It remains unclear whether any of the suspects are injured.
