A Golden Gate Estates man was arrested Sunday on felony charges that he choked his girlfriend during an argument.Jeffery Dean Johnson, 45, 2521 8th Ave. S.E., was charged with felony battery and intimidating/threatening a witness.
Arrest reports say Angela Young told deputies that she and Johnson, her boyfriend, got into an argument Sunday afternoon. Young told deputies that the argument became physical and Johnson put his hands around her neck and tried to choke her to the point that she could not breathe, reports said.
Deputies said that Young had a contusion on her neck and it was red and swollen, reports said.
