A woman was charged Wednesday after deputies say she took more than $550 worth of merchandise from an East Naples department store.
Maria Rodriguez Ramirez, 32, 208 Bamboo Drive, East Naples, was charged with grand theft.
Reports say the loss prevention officer at Beall’s, 3701 U.S. 41 E., told deputies he saw Rodriguez Ramirez in the store pushing a stroller with two small children. Also in the stroller were two empty bags, according to reports.
Rodriguez Ramirez entered the fitting room with several articles of clothing, reports said. When she left the fitting room the formerly empty bags were full, according to reports.
The loss prevention officer stopped Rodriguez Ramirez after she left the store with the merchandise, reports said.
The merchandise in the bags totaled $566.93, according to reports.
