Five people were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop in Golden Gate early Monday, sheriff’s reports said.
Carlos Gutierrez Camacho, 21; Maria Corona, 21; Jose Luis Esteban 21; Carlos Gutierrez, 21; and Luis Angel Maldonado, 19, were each charged with constructive possession of cocaine.
Arrest reports say Corona, Esteban, Gutierrez and Maldonado were passengers in a vehicle driven by Gutierrez Camacho around 2 a.m. on 41st Terrace Southwest. Deputies conducted a traffic stop because the vehicle had window tint that appeared to be darker than allowed by law, reports said.
As deputies approached the car, Corona dropped a small gum tin near her feet, reports said. A search of the tin by deputies turned up 20 small bags of cocaine, reports said.
