The Collier County Sheriff’s Office and Joe’s Crab Shack teamed up once again for the second annual “Cops and Crabs” event.Sheriff Kevin J. Rambosk greeted patrons and CCSO members helped wait tables at the restaurant, 1355 Fifth Ave. S., Naples, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on April 8. All tip money and 10 percent of the total cash intake from the night will be donated to the Florida Special Olympics.
So far, CCSO members raised around $1,000 in tips. The percentage of the total cash intake is still being calculated.
Last year, CCSO was able to raise more than $3,000 in various fundraising efforts to benefit Florida Special Olympics.
