Meet Your Public Safety Professionals

WHAT: Community Safety Service Day

WHEN: Saturday, Jan. 22

WHERE: Fleming's Steakhouse, 8985 U.S. 41 N., North Naples

TIME: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

SUMMARY: Spend the day with your Collier County public safety professionals Saturday.

Residents and visitors can meet with representatives from the Collier County Sheriff's Office's SWAT, Bomb Squad, Safety and Traffic Enforcement, Crime Prevention, and Crime Scene units, along with deputies from the sheriff's North Naples substation, to learn how the agency works hard to keep the community safe. The event will also feature representatives from Crime Stoppers and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Members of ABATE of Florida will be available to discuss motorcycle safety.

Representatives from Collier County Emergency Medical Services, Collier County Code Enforcement and Waste Management will also be on hand. Participants can also meet North Naples firefighters and see a ladder and an antique fire truck.

Kids can have their picture taken with McGruff the Crime Dog and learn about 911 safety with Red E. Fox. There will be music, prizes, food, and fun including a bounce house and rock wall.

The event is sponsored by the Collier County Sheriff's Office and Fleming's Steakhouse.
