Where: Golden Gate Community Center, 4701 Golden Gate Parkway
Summary: The Collier County Sheriff's Office and its Golden Gate Road Patrol invite residents to join in on the inaugural 5K fun ride and bike ride.
Representatives from the Aviation, Bomb Squad, K-9, Mounted Patrol and SWAT units will be available to give demonstrations and discuss safety tips. Deputies will serve free hot dogs and lemonade to participants.
Registration for the 5K Fun Run/Ride will begin at 8 p.m. The run/ride will start at 9 p.m. Entry fee is a suggested $10 donation benefitting the Police Unity Tour. The first 50 registered participants will receive a free T-shirt.
