Deputies were investigating an armed robbery at a business in East Naples late Sunday night.
The robbery at the Dollar General Store, 4921 Rattlesnake Hammock Road, was reported to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office at 9:06 p.m.
Deputies said a man wearing a black ski mask over his face and brandishing a firearm walked into the store shortly after closing. He approached one of the two clerks and directed her to the store safe.
He ordered the clerk to open the safe and to give him cash, which she did. He then left the store, heading south.
Nobody was harmed, deputies said.
Deputies said the robber was described as black, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and had a medium to large build. He was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt with a white shirt underneath, blue jeans and white sneakers with black laces.
Deputies, assisted by the CCSO K-9 and Aviation units, were searching for the suspect.
