CCSO Arts Exhibit Focuses on the Everglades

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with The Friends of the Museum of the Everglades to display a series of paintings by Everglades artist Rob Storter (1894-1987).

CCSO will host a public reception for the eigth installment of the Community Gallery, an arts exhibit housed within the Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, Aug 9, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The gallery is located at the administrative offices on the second floor of CCSO headquarters, 3319 U.S. 41 E., Bldg. J., East Naples.

“Last Frontier: Images of the Everglades” exhibits artwork that offers a glimpse into the history of daily life in the Everglades. The exhibit runs through October during normal business hours and is open to the public.

The exhibits featured at the Community Gallery rotate every three months. Opening receptions are held for each new exhibit to continually showcase the art and partnership of the participating organization. The Sheriff’s Office headquarters is a community building and welcomes all members of the public to come and view the exhibits.

The CCSO Community Gallery welcomes any local public service organizations interested in setting up a future exhibit
