Deputies responded to 115 Flame Vine Drive at 6:44 a.m. Wednesday after receiving a report of a deceased person. Upon arrival they discovered the body of a person later identified as Concetta Bedell, 44, who lived at that address.
Neighbors told detectives Wednesday morning that they heard gunshots in the area of the home at around 1:30 a.m. but did not report them to law enforcement. Detectives believe these gunshots may be related to this case.
Bedell had an active injunction for protection against Lawrence Joseph MacDonald, 44. Based on preliminary investigation detectives consider MacDonald a person of interest and are attempting to locate him for an interview. If anyone knows of MacDonald’s whereabouts or has any other information useful to this investigation they should contact the Collier County Sheriff's Office at 239-252-9300, or to remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward call Crime Stoppers at 239-780-8477.
In the case of Ernest Torres, whose body was discovered Aug. 4 at his 2248 54th Terrace S.W. home, detectives have identified a person of interest. That person is currently in custody on other charges.
In the case of Joseph Warren Godcharles, whose body was discovered Aug. 1 at his 8234 Key Royal Circle #511 residence, detectives continue to evaluate evidence, complete requests for lab work and conduct interviews. While no suspects have been established at this point in the investigation, evidence at the scene leads detectives to believe that the person responsible for Godcharles’ death was someone known to him.
Anyone having information on any of these cases should contact the Collier County Sheriff's Office at 239-252-9300, or to remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-8477.
