The Collier County Sheriff’s Office joined in celebrating historic milestones in Florida during the recent Everglades Parade.
The April 27 event commemorated the 85th anniversary of the opening of Tamiami Trail but also recognized the 500th anniversary of Ponce de Leon’s arrival, 90th anniversary of Collier County, 60th anniversary of Everglades City and the 15th anniversary of the Museum of the Everglades.
CCSO’s Honor Guard and Mounted Patrol led the parade, which featured more than 30 local, state, federal and tribal organizations.
