Deputies are searching for a 53-year-old East Naples homeless man whom family members believe is missing.
Family members and friends told the Collier County Sheriff’s Office that Gregory Dean Christopher is homeless and maintains a camp in the woods near the intersection of Rattlesnake Hammock Road and Collier Boulevard, reports said.
They told deputies that Christopher has not been seen by his usual contacts since around June 27 when he had a doctor appointment. Christopher’s camp had been flooded by the recent rains and his personal property has been untouched, reports said. Family and friends are concerned.
Christopher is described as white, 6 feet 1 inch tall and 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, reports said.
Christopher is blind in his right eye. He is physically disabled and uses a bicycle as a walker to move about in the area of Rattlesnake Hammock Road, Hawaii Boulevard and Collier Boulevard, reports said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Collier County Sheriff’s Office at 239.252.9300.
