CCSO To Host ‘Tweet From The Beat’

Buckle your seat belt and get ready to roll out. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is taking the community on a virtual ride-along.

CCSO’s first Tweet From The Beat is set for 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4.

Throughout the event CCSO Lt. J.J. Carroll will be sharing what he sees and does with texts and photos tweeted from the field.

People following @CollierSheriff on Twitter will be able to ask questions and interact with Lt. Carroll.

Here’s how to go along for the ride: If you already have a Twitter account, follow CCSO. Our Twitter handle is @CollierSheriff. If you aren’t on Twitter, go to www.twitter.com and sign up. It’s quick, easy and free. Once you create your account, follow us at @CollierSheriff.

Tweet From The Beat is the latest in a series of initiatives Sheriff Kevin Rambosk has rolled out follow through with his pledge to partner with the community through the use of technology.

“Social media continues to be an important way for the Collier County Sheriff’s Office to communicate with the people we serve," Sheriff Rambosk said.
