The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a 58-year-old Golden Gate man who has been missing since Friday afternoon.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a 58-year-old Golden Gate man who has been missing since Friday afternoon.
Detectives
said James Willis Whipple was last seen leaving a Sweetbay Supermarket
at 4995 Golden Gate Parkway around 2:25 p.m. Deputies believe Whipple
may harm himself.
Whipple
is described as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall, medium build with gray
hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a bluish purple shirt,
white and blue checkered shorts, white shoes and a white ball cap.
Whipple may be driving a white 1999 Ford pick-up with Florida license plate number L436JU.
