WHAT: Fire Prevention Awareness Day
WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
WHERE: Fleischmann Park, 1600 Fleischmann Blvd., Naples
SUMMARY: Local fire departments, Emergency Management Services, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office and other emergency response agencies will be educating families on how to stay safe during fires and other emergency situations.
Firefighters will discuss fire safety tips and provide educational materials. The event will also feature fire truck tours and a fire sprinkler demo. Kids can see the CCSO D.A.R.E. car and meet Smokey Bear and Sparky the Fire Dog.
CCSO will also offer free car seat safety checks.
