Man Arrested After Deputies Bust $350K Grow House

Detectives arrested a Broward County man and uncovered more than $350,000 worth of marijuana at a residence in Golden Gate Estates on Thursday.


Detectives with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Bureau, with assistance from the CCSO Special Response Unit, executed a search warrant at 4761 Golden Gate Blvd. E.
Detectives discovered that every room inside the residence was being used to grow marijuana as well as the garage. The rooms also contained equipment typically associated with growing marijuana, including high-intensity light bulbs, additional air conditioner units, high-power transformers, buckets and high-grade fertilizer.
Detectives discovered 117 marijuana plants growing inside the residence. The plants had an estimated street value of $351,000.
The equipment used to grow the marijuana was valued around $30,000.
Ionio Aguirre De Carcer of Plantation was in the living room when detectives executed the search warrant.
Aguirre De Carcer, 34,  was arrested and charged with marijuana trafficking, possession of a structure for the purpose of trafficking marijuana and possession of narcotic equipment.
