The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the public in identifying three suspects wanted in connection with a daytime armed break-in at an East Naples convenience store in February.
CCSO has released 8 minutes of store security video taken at the time of the burglary. Detectives hope that releasing the video, along with details from the case, will generate tips from the community that could help lead to the identification of the suspects.
The burglary happened at K Square Mart, 11466 U.S. 41 E., around shortly after 2 p.m. on Feb. 25.
Surveillance video showed the three men enter the store separately. One of the men went into the bathroom at the rear of the store while another distracted the cashier by asking for directions. The third man went down the aisles and served as a lookout for the suspect in the bathroom.
All three suspects appeared to be wearing wireless earpieces in their ears. One of the men, who was wearing a white shirt, appeared to have a silver gun which he retrieved from his ankle and put into his waistband.
The man in the bathroom approached the closed office door, got on the ground and looked under the door. He then used a pry tool to force the door. He pulled the door shut when he noticed the cashier approaching. He left the store. The other two suspects left the store separately and at different times.
All three got into a black Ford Explorer that headed down Southwest Boulevard. The SUV then drove back out of the dead-end road and turned right to head east onto U.S. 41 East.
Anyone with information on the case or who can identify the suspects is asked to contact the Collier County Sheriff’s Office at 239.252.9300, or to remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward, contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1.800.780.8477 (TIPS)
