Sheriff
Kevin Rambosk swore in newly appointed and promoted Collier County Sheriff’s
Office employees at a ceremony Tuesday evening.
More than 75
colleagues, family members and friends attended the ceremony at the
Professional Development Center, 615 Third Ave. S., Naples.
“The purpose
of the ceremony is for newly hired and promoted agency members to realize their
importance, significance and worth to the CCSO,” said Erin Welch, Agency
Engagement Coordinator. “It’s also a way for the employees and their families
to witness the level of respect given to all CCSO members.’’
NEW APPOINTMENTS:
Liliana Aguilar was appointed to jail technician. A
Collier County native, Aguilar graduated from Naples High School and is
studying criminal justice at Florida Gulf Coast University. She previously
worked as a CCSO student intern.
Aaron App was appointed to certified law
enforcement officer. App comes to CCSO from the San Diego Police Department,
where he served for five years. He also proudly served his country in the U.S.
Marine Corps.
Felix Barbosa was appointed to corrections
officer. The Collier County native graduated from Palmetto Ridge High School
and Edison State College. Prior to
coming to CCSO he worked for Physicians Regional Hospital.
Amanda Bibey was appointed to corrections
officer. She comes to CCSO from WINK News. The Margate native graduated from the
University of Central Florida with a major in radio and television broadcasting.
Laraine Cassidy was appointed to office specialist.
Cassidy comes to CCSO from working at Poinciana Elementary School. The Massachusetts
native graduated from Salem State with a degree in early childhood education
and earned a master’s from Rhode Island College.
Luis Cid Ravelo was appointed to corrections
officer. He was born in Cuba and has lived in Collier County for six
years.
John Davidson was appointed to law enforcement
officer. Davidson was born in Akron, Ohio, and graduated from Akron University.
He has lived in Collier County for 13 years and has 23 years prior experience
working in law enforcement for the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Sean Ellis was appointed to law enforcement
officer. Ellis is a graduate of Cape Coral High School and Edison State College,
where he earned a degree in general education. He comes to CCSO with five years
of experience working for the Florida Highway Patrol.
Melissa Gaetjens was appointed to corrections
officer. She has five years of law enforcement experience with the Lee County
Sheriff’s Office.
Peter Garzia was appointed to school crossing
guard. Garzia, a Philadelphia native, graduated from Drexel University with a
degree in construction management. He
has lived in Collier County for five years and comes to CCSO from working as vice
president of HSC Builders and Construction Managers.
Darren Ginther was appointed to corrections
officer. Ginther worked in the emergency room at Naples Community Hospital
before coming to CCSO. He was born in Brighton, Pa., and has lived in Collier
County for eight years.
Yvette Gonzales was appointed to jail technician. Gonzales,
a Naples native, served in the U.S. Air Force before coming to CCSO.
Lori Gregory was appointed to office specialist.
She previously worked as the deputy clerk at the Collier County Clerk’s Office
Criminal Court Division. She graduated from Barron Collier High School and attended
Edison State College.
Brianna Hanson was appointed to office specialist.
Hanson, a Naples native, is a graduate of Gulf Coast High School. She attends
Florida Gulf Coast University, where she is studying accounting.
After
spending a year as a reserve law enforcement officer, Matthew Kinney was appointed to full-time law enforcement officer.
Kinney attended Gulf Coast High School and Edison State College.
Robert Kirkland was appointed to law enforcement
officer. Kirkland previously worked at the Glades County Sheriff’s Office. He
is a Naples native and a graduate of Gulf Coast High School.
Brittany Loyd was appointed to jail technician. The
Naples native graduated from Gulf Coast High School.
David Mac Alister was appointed to bailiff. Mac
Alister returns to CCSO after previously working for the agency for 30 years.
Marc Moegelvang was appointed to corrections
officer. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in criminal
justice. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Angelina Spencer was appointed to volunteer. She
graduated from George Washington University with a degree in political management.
She owns her own political management firm based in Washington, D.C.
Allen Tuff was appointed to law enforcement
officer. A Collier County native, Tuff graduated from Golden Gate High School.
He earned a degree in criminal justice from Saint Leo University. He comes to
CCSO from the Saint Leo University Security Police Department.
Thomas
Simoncic was appointed to volunteer. Simoncic was employed with CCSO for seven years
before retiring. He is dual certified as a corrections and a law enforcement
officer. The Detroit native served in the U.S. Army.
Promotions:
Sandy Long was promoted to communications
supervisor from dispatcher. The Naples
native is a graduate of Barron Collier High School.
Melanie McFadden has been promoted to communications
supervisor from dispatcher. She earned an associate’s degree from Edison State
College and is working on a bachelor’s in public safety administration.
