Crime Stoppers has established an enhanced reward fund. At the request of residents from some of the affected communities in Collier County, a separate reward fund was opened this week by Crime Stoppers for anyone who wishes to contribute to the reward.
As of Thursday,
the current reward amount is $7,500, with $6,500 coming from anonymous donors
and $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.
“Of course
we always hope that anyone with information will come forward because it’s the
right thing to do, but at the end of the day money talks, and the increased
reward may encourage someone to do just that,” said Crime Stoppers Coordinator Trish
Routte.
Crime
Stoppers expects the reward fund to grow. Updates will be provided as that
happens.
A task force
made up of members of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Naples Police
