The Collier
County Sheriff’s Office is sharing this Collier County Government Traffic
Advisory:
U.S. 41 East
between Triangle Boulevard and Collier Boulevard will be closed to all traffic
beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, May 9, and continuing through 5 a.m. Monday, May
12, weather permitting.
The road
closure will allow crews to place storm water pipe and other utilities under
the roadway across all U.S. 41 East roadway lanes.
Detour signs
will be posted to direct all traffic to Triangle Boulevard during this needed
construction work.
Access to
all businesses in the area will be maintained. Business access signs will be
posted.
The speed
limit will be reduced to 35 mph in the area during the construction project.
Collier County
Sheriff’s Office deputies will be present in the construction zone and will assist
in directing traffic, as needed.
In addition,
electronic message boards, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and
barricades will be used to assist motorists in the area.
Travelers
who do not have a destination in this vicinity may want to seek an alternate
route.
