Collier Boulevard from U.S. 41 East to just south of Beach Resort Boulevard will be closed to all traffic beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, June 27, and continuing through 5 a.m. Monday, June 30, weather permitting.
The road closure will allow crews to place drainage pipes under the roadway across the Collier Boulevard travel lanes.
Detour signs will be posted to direct all traffic to Triangle Boulevard during this needed construction work.
Access to all businesses in the area will be maintained. Business access signs will be posted.
The speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph in the area during the construction project. Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies will be present in the construction zone and will assist in directing traffic, as needed.
In addition, electronic message boards, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist motorists in the area.
Travelers who do not have a destination in this vicinity may want to seek an alternate route.
