The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with
Greater Naples YMCA to display the colorful artwork designed by children
attending its Gaynor Child Development Center.
CCSO will host a
public reception for the 13th installment of the Community Gallery, an arts
exhibit housed within the Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, July 10, from 5 to
6:30 p.m. The gallery is located at the administrative offices on the second
floor of CCSO headquarters, 3319 U.S. 41 E., East Naples.
The “Building Blocks
Of Color” exhibit will feature 21 paintings depicting the range of art tools
the children use to grow their use of fine motor skills, handwriting and most
important, imagination.
The YMCA has engaged
more than 10,000 neighborhoods across the United States for more than 160
years. By nurturing the potential of every child and supporting and serving its
neighbors, the YMCA ensures that everyone has the opportunity to become
healthier, more confident, connected and secure.
The Greater Naples
YMCA was established in 1968 and is well known in the Collier community for its
child care, youth sports, aquatic programs, health and fitness and parent-child
programs.
The exhibit will be
on display to the public through October.
The CCSO Community
Gallery welcomes any local public service organizations interested in setting
up a future exhibit.
