Secret Santa Entrusts Law Enforcement To Spread Holiday Joy

Collier County law enforcement officers are delivering holiday cheer this week thanks to the generosity of a Secret Santa who wishes to remain anonymous.

The Secret Santa is actually a small group of local people who approached Sheriff Kevin Rambosk directly late last week with a unique proposal: They wanted to provide local law enforcement with more than $1,000 in $100 bills to be distributed to families in need.

The Secret Santa group came up with the concept because law enforcement officers regularly encounter deserving families in need during the course of their workday.

"It's an honor that this Secret Santa entrusts us to make these special deliveries," Sheriff Rambosk said.

In the end the generous gift totaled $1,400, and Collier County Sheriff's Office deputies, along with officers with the Naples Police Department and Marco Island Police Department delivered the $100 bills to random recipients in our community who could use a little extra holiday cheer this year.
