Buckle your seat belt and get
ready to roll out. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is taking the community
on another virtual ride-along.
Since October 2013, CCSO has
conducted several Tweet From The Beat events. Throughout those events Lt. J.J.
Carroll shared what he saw and did with texts and photos tweeted from the
field.
Lt. Carroll is now the
District Lieutenant in charge of the Golden Gate substation. He has passed the
Tweet From The Beat torch over to Lt. Joe Ellis.
Lt. Ellis has been with CCSO
for more than 17 years, and he was promoted to the Field Lieutenant position in
May 2014.
CCSO’s next Tweet From The
Beat is set for 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23.
People following @CollierSheriff on Twitter will be able to ask questions and interact with Lt. Ellis.
Here’s how to go along for the ride: If you already have a Twitter account, follow CCSO. Our Twitter handle is @CollierSheriff. If you aren’t on Twitter, go to www.twitter.com and sign up. It’s quick, easy and free. Once you create your account, follow us at @CollierSheriff.
Tweet From The Beat is one in a series of initiatives Sheriff Kevin Rambosk has rolled out to follow through with his pledge to partner with the community through the use of technology.
