CCSO Seeks Public’s Help Locating Robbery Suspect

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office continues to try to locate a second suspect who was involved in an armed holdup of an East Naples convenience store in February.


 Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating Josue Alberto Lobo Cruz, 26. Cruz is wanted on an active warrant in connection with the Feb. 27 robbery at Rose Food Mart, 6026 Radio Road in East Naples.

Detectives say Cruz and another man, Cesar Augusto Bertrand Zelaya, robbed the store while wearing black ski masks. Zelaya brandished a gun. They made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The CCSO warrant charges Cruz with robbery with a firearm, grand theft, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery.

Detectives arrested Zelaya, 30, on Tuesday on multiple counts of armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery. In addition to the Rose Food Mart robbery, Zelaya is charged with two other convenience store robberies in Collier County this year.   

Cruz is described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. His last known address was in the 1200 block of Granada Boulevard in Naples.

Detectives said Cruz is known to frequent area gambling establishments and has ties to Collier and Lee counties.
