Collier
County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 24-year-old man wanted by Louisiana
authorities for attempted murder in connection with a violent home invasion
robbery in that state.
Sean Quinn
Nixon of Baton Rouge was taken into custody early Monday on West Baton Rouge
Sheriff’s Office warrants charging him with attempted first-degree murder,
armed robbery and aggravated burglary.
The charges stem from a September 2013 home invasion in Port Allen, La.,
that left a victim robbed and beaten, according to a Louisiana State Attorney
General’s Office news release announcing Nixon’s arrest.
The arrest
was a result of a joint investigation involving the Attorney General’s Fugitive
Apprehension Unit, West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department
of Law Enforcement and CCSO.
The
investigation led CCSO deputies to the Target Superstore 2415 Tarpon Bay Blvd.,
Golden Gate, where they learned Nixon was part of a crew from Louisiana doing
remodeling work inside the store. He was taken into custody without incident
shortly after midnight Monday.
Nixon was
booked into the Collier County jail, where he is awaiting extradition by the
West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.
