Sexual Predator Has New Address

Name: Artabandhu Grenham

Date of birth: July 13, 1977

Description: White male, 6 feet 3 inches tall, 209 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes

Current address: 2800 Bayview Drive, Room #2, East Naples

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has notified the Collier County Sheriff’s Office that registered sexual predator Artabandhu Grenham has moved and currently resides at 2800 Bayview Drive, Room #2 in East Naples.

Grenham is designated as a sexual predator pursuant to Section FSS 775.21. His qualifying offenses are Lewd Assault Sexual Battery on Victim under 16, F.S. 800.04(3); Possession of Photo showing Sexual Performance by a Child, F.S. 827.071(5).

Positive identification cannot be established unless a fingerprint comparison is made. Clean Up Golden Gate Estates!

Want to help Southwest Florida stay beautiful?

The Collier County Sheriff's Office, along with the county Code Enforcement and Waste Management departments, will team up with Golden Gate Estates residents to clean up the community on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dumpsters will be available on the vacant lot at the intersection of Immokalee Road and 4th ST NE to help haul away unwanted items. Hazardous household wastes including oil, paint, fertilizers, cleaners and fluorescent bulbs will be accepted. Furniture, tires (non-commercial) and appliances can be picked up.  Call 239-252-2380 to schedule a pick-up prior to placing items by the road. You must call 48-hours in advance of your regular recycling day.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has notified the Collier County Sheriff’s Office that registered sexual predator Elido M. Chavez has moved and currently resides at 2005 45th Terrace S.W. in Golden Gate.

Chavez is designated as a sexual predator pursuant to Section FSS 775.21. His qualifying offenses are sexual battery by adult/victim under 12, F.S. 794.011(2); Lewd, Lascivious on Child under 12; F.S. 800.04(5)(b).

Positive identification cannot be established unless a fingerprint comparison is made.

CCSO Deputy Rescues Dog Locked In Trunk

A Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputy’s diligence may have saved the life of a small dog Wednesday night.

Cpl. Jason Stauffer worked a hit-and-run crash that happened at the intersection of I-75 and Immokalee Road around 10:20 p.m. A witness provided a license plate number that belongs to a car owned by Daniel Stack, 24, 5194 Hemingway Circle, Golden Gate.

After working the crash, deputies located Stack at a 7-Eleven store at the corner of Immokalee Road and Creekside Way at around 11:45 p.m. He eventually led them to his vehicle, which he had left parked at some medical offices near NCH Healthcare System North Naples Hospital. The car had front-end damage consistent with the hit and run. Cpl. Stauffer arrested Stack and placed him in the back seat of his patrol car.

While waiting for a tow truck to remove Stack’s vehicle, Stauffer began to inventory the contents of the car. When he opened the trunk he was confronted by an angry black and tan dog, which had been left in the trunk for an undetermined amount of time.  Stauffer removed the dog from the truck to improve its access to air. At no time had Stack mentioned that there was a dog in the trunk.

Stack was transported to the Naples Jail Center, where he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, animal cruelty and possession of marijuana under 20 grams.

The dog was turned over to Collier County Domestic Animal Services. The staff at DAS identified the dog as a Feist, which is a small hunting breed.
